LED Desk Lamp

So, I'd like to apologize for all the grammar mistakes.

Anyways, I had to build a lamp in craft lesson(?) and i wanted to use LEDs to save on energy and make it different. I also found this lamp https://www.instructables.com/id/Desk-lamp-1/ and I really loved this so i decided to us this as inspiration.

Wood block for base
Aluminium strip (I chose 4 cm wide and 1 meter long aluminium strip)
LED strip
Switch
12 volt adapter
electrical tape or something like that
soldering iron and tin
saw
powerful drill
glue

My base dimensions are 150x150xabout170 mm.and width is about 6.7 mm
I couldn't find right wooden block exactly sized as i mentioned above so I glued like 4 pieces together and cut it as a triangle.
Then I oiled the base to make it look more shining and (for me) more attractive
When I got my desired shape i drilled 2 holes in the back of the triangle (you can see a switch there) to fit the switch mechanism in there
If you have switch already mounted in adapter then you dont have to drill the hole in there.
Also i glued some kind of small wooden pieces on the bottom of the base to keep it more stable, but I donät recommend doing it yourself, It's easier to buy these from stores glue/tape them on the base.

This aluminum piece is attached to base via screws, oh and I also had to drill bigger hole in the aluminum to mount the switch.
Also bending an aluminum can be difficult, You have to do it very carefully, because there's no coming back after you hve bent it.

LEDs
At first i wanted to make it more professional and use switch so i could use both colours at the same time and use each colours individually, but I bought a wrong switch.

Then I proceeded to connect LED wires with switch and adapter, I donät remember how I did it but it took some time because I didn't knew what I was doing.
LED strip had taoe on the other side so just had to tape it on the aluminum piece.

I believe that my connectins arenät that good because in the dark i can see LEDs glowing when connected. It glows even more if i touch aluminium piece, but not that much that it would annoy me.
