LED Strip Brightness Controller
Hii friend,
Some times we don't like high brightness of LED strip and on that we turn off the switch. So today I am going to make LED strip brightness controller circuit.By this circuit we can easily control brightness of LED strip. This circuit is very easy to make and this circuit take less components.
Let's get started,
Take All Parts As Shown Below -
Material required -
(1.) Transistor - D882 (NPN) x1
(2.) Resistor - 100 ohm x1
(3.) Potentiometer (variable resistor) - 10K ohm x1
(4.) LED Strip x1
(5.) DC Power supply - 12V
Fold Collector Pin of Transistor
Transistor D882 have 3-Pins -
Pin-1 - Emmiter , Pin-2 - Collector and Pin-3 is base of transistor from front side.
First we have to fold collector pin of transistor as you can see in the picture.
Solder Transistor to the Potentiometer
Next we have to solder base pin of transistor to 2nd pin of potentiometer and
Emmiter pin of transistor to 3rd pin of potentiometer as you can see in the picture.
Solder 100 Ohm Resistor
Next solder 100 ohm resistor to 1st pin of potentiometer as solder in picture.
Connect LED Strip Wire
Next we have to connect LED strip wire to the circuit -
Solder +ve wire of LED strip to 100 ohm resistor and
-ve wire to the collector pin of transistor as you can see in the picture.
Now Connect Power Supply Wire
Now we have to connect last connection which is power supply wire.
We have to give 12V DC input power supply on this circuit.
Solder +ve wire of power supply to the +ve wire of LED strip and
-ve wire of power supply to the emmiter of transistor as you can see in the picture.
How to Use It
Now LED strip brightness circuit is ready.
Give power supply to the circuit and rotate the knob of potentiometer.
Gradually as we will decrease/increase the rotation of knob of potentiometer like this Brightness of LED strip can control.
I hope this project will be helpful this type we can make LED Strip Brightness controller circuit.
