Korean Street Toast
This instructable will show you how to make quick n' easy Korean street toast. Basically, it is a grilled sandwich containing a cabbage/carrot egg patty, ham, and cheese. Yummmmmm.........I hope you don't get too hungry viewing this instructable! Enjoy!
Supplies
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 or 2 eggs
- Mixture of green cabbage, red cabbage, and carrots
- You can buy these individually or you can buy a bag of coleslaw (without dressing) that contains all 3 of these such as the one shown in the picture
- 1 or 2 slices of ham
- 1 slice of cheese (I used American)
- Olive oil
- Butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Optional:
- Ketchup
- Mayonnaise
Egg Patty
In a small bowl, combine the egg (or eggs), cabbage, carrots, and a small amount of salt and pepper and mix together. Heat olive oil in a pan on the stove to about medium heat and add the egg mixture. Cook until of you have a lightly golden brown patty (see pictures).
Grill the Bread
Butter one side of each slice of bread and place in the pan still on medium heat. Remove once you have a nice golden brown color.
Grill the Ham Slices
Place the ham slices in the pan still on medium heat and remove once they just start to brown.
Assemble the Sandwich and Add Condiments
Assemble the sandwich by placing the egg patty, ham, and cheese on one slice of grilled bread. If you like, add some ketchup and mayonnaise. Place the final piece of grilled bread on top and.............
