Knit Like a Viking With Nalbinding - How to Do the Oslo Stitch

Nalbinding (also spelled naalbinding, nalebinding, nalbindning and other variants) is an ancient fabric construction technique that predates knitting and crochet by some 2000 years. This video shows you how to do the Oslo stitch, which is the simplest nalbinding stitch, and acts as a foundation stitch for most other stitches.
Nalbinding is done with short lengths of yarn and a blunt needle (e.g. a tapestry needle). The technique was used by the ancient Egyptians, and was very widespread in Scandinavian peoples such as the Vikings (which is why it is sometimes called Viking Knitting)
