Knife Lanyard Knot Tied on the Table

Here is my version of this ubiquitous knot.

Middle your cord.

Bring the left side under the right forming a loop.

Make a smaller bight the same way (end going under).

Place the bight atop the loop.

Bring WE across the bight going over, under - red dot, over.

Bring A over the loop at x, under 3 strands and up through the center of the knot.

Bring B under three strands and up through the center.

Fold the bights towards the loop and gradually remove the slack from the knot.

Pull the slack away from the loop first from one side and then on the other.

It will take several rounds of this process to finish the tightening.
