Don't forget to vote for this in the USB contest!

I saw something like this online one day. It seemed like a brilliant idea, but I wasn't going to spend money on something I could make my self. This system allows you to suspend your USB charged or wall outlet charged device from the USB cord or charger. It allows for a tidier work space, or more surface area to place more clutter. The choice is yours!

*A little disclaimer* : I am not responsible for any damage done to any devices due to a failure of this system (or any damage to your device really). If you don't believe this system will hold up your device then don't use it. My Kin 2m has yet to have a problem with this system, though.

Parts List!

The Total Cost for all of these parts is: (if ordered from K'nex's website) $4.57 (there is a minimum order of 5$ though, so throw some extra parts in there!, like green rods, they are easy to lose...)
The cost of a comparable system is: $4 to $6.99, not including shipping and tax.

K'nex is a more intelligent option due to the fact that if a knex piece breaks, it can be replaced without replacing the whole system, where as a solid structure that breaks must be re-purchased in its entirety. Also various things can be built with K'nex, and well, nothing can be built with the comparable solid structure.

Rods:
Red/ Green (metallic) : 2
Yellow/ Gray (metallic) : 3
Blue/ Blue (metallic) : 4
White/ Silver (metallic) : 6
Green/ Black (metallic) :3

Connectors:
Blue 3D 7 way connector : 2
Green 4 way connector : 4
Red 3 way connector : 6
Grey 1 way connector : 2

1 #64 rubber band is also used in this, however any rubber band will work.

No real name for it... just build it! fairly simple for most K'nexers, but I broke it down into steps for the less experienced/ people who never have built with K'nex before.

Final Assembly

Attach the two parts as shown. Then you are finished. Before use, ensure that your outlet / USB port / charger will hold up the weight by giving a slight tug on the system before placing your device on it.
