Knex Phone Stand

Hey guys! Today, you will build a stand for your phone with knex! This is my upgraded version of my phone stand (in the picture). The one your building is the standard. I made this one day to use it when railfanning, but I haven't used it when filming. Yet. I have this laying down because it won't fit straight up and down.

Hope you enjoy! Now, to the building....................

This holds your phone in place. Here is how to work it in this order:

- Disconnect one of the orange connectors from the yellow rod

- (you MUST HAVE a pop socket!!!) Pull the pop socket all the way out. Put the pop socket inbetween the yellow rod and the yellow connector with the white rods

- Reconnect the orange connector and the yellow rod. Make sure you have the screen of your phone against the blue rods on the yellow connectors. Use the yellow connectors with the blue rods to "tighten" the phone so it doesn't slip and face down.

This is the first half of the body to the stand. With the standard version, you can make more of these to make it taller. The tan clips are to hold down the plate in the body.

These are the legs for the stand. Pretty simple. This ain't the sturdiest when it comes to standing, but it's a beginner.

Connect everything when done. I didn't get a picture of the connected version because I had already upgraded it.

Upgrade (optional)

I suggest you make it as tall as you are so you don't have to reach it or have a weird position. Then when you are done with that, if you want, upgrade it to be more sturdy and balancing.

Recommendations

- I highly recommend you to have this on a flat surface when setting up, like on a sidewalk or your driveway or wherever there is any flat surface anywhere you are, otherwise, the bottom legs might break.

- Don't set this up on rocks, UNLESS the space is flat with no slopes around.

- Start to set it up when you have time to do it before something comes. DO NOT SET IT UP IN A HURRY!! Otherwise you won't have time to take the pic or video you need.
