K'nex Office: Desk Lamp

     It's a busy day at work. You have tons of paperwork to do in a short amount of time. Everyone in the office is running around, trying to get as much work done as possible. Keyboards are clicking, phones are ringing, and people are busily discussing business matters.
     But suddenly, all of the power goes out! It is only now that you notice the fierce thunderstorm raging outside.
     How are you supposed to work now, when you can't see what you're doing!? Luckily, you can easily make a makeshift desk lamp, using your cell phone and the secret stash of K'nex your boss plays with in his office. What are you waiting for! You have work to do! Get building!

You will need:

35 white connectors
16 blue connectors

Base: Part One

Take a blue connector, and a grey connector, and slide them together. Repeat to get 16 pieces. Next, arrange the pieces into rows of four, and connect them using green rods. Then, take two rows and connect them using green rods. Finally, fill in spaces using white rods.

Take a yellow rod and attach it to an orange connector. Repeat to get eight pieces total. Next, attach two pieces to the yellow rod on the piece you made in the previous step. Repeat for all four pieces. Next, connect the pieces from steps 10-11 to the main base piece. Connect the yellow rods to the central grey connectors, and the ends to the diagonal "Y" connectors, and the end grey connectors.

To insert the device, flip up one of the grey connectors on the side of the device holder. Next, slide in the device, and flip the grey connectors back down.
