This is a two-phase fragmentation grenade, meant to be thrown at a wall near the target.
First, the outside casing is fragmented upon impact. Second, the inner rings in the core are then free to fly apart. This allows for greater chance for a piece to strike the opponent.

To pull the pin out, first remove the lock from the top of the device. Pull the pin, and your grenade is ready to throw!
