K'nex Ferris Wheel Ball Lift
This lift is one of the two lifts I used in my ball run Everest. the lift gets it name from the wheel which I think looks like Ferris wheel. one of the hardest parts of making this lift was finding a way to make the ball exit the lift. After thinking about it I decided to have a ramp on the arms to make the ball roll off the arms and onto the track. If you are not going to put this lift on a ball run, I suggest putting supports on the sides of the lift because the lift is a bit wobbly
The Base
In this step, we will make the base of the ball run and attach the track for the ball to run on.
The Walls and More Track
Next we will attach the walls that the wheel will sit on and also more of the track.
The Wheel
In this step we will make the wheel. If you want you can replace the blue connectors with snowflake connectors, but it is fine if you don't. Make sure that you snap all the blue rods to the connectors, and that the orange connectors are all slanted the same way on the arms.
The Gearbox
Now we will make the gearbox. It is pretty simple step, just pay attention to the placement of the gears.
The Upper Walls
These are the walls that will hold the exit track and cover up the wheel. Make sure that you don't add a gray rod where one is missing. If you do the ball will hit it and not fall on the exit track.
The Exit Track.
This is the track that the ball will fall on when it exits. After this step you are done with the lift. Enjoy!
