This is a trap which can be set off by a trip wire or by pulling on a string. It is rather simple and easy to make. When set off it will shoot lots of spacers in a direction.

Use

Attach a rubberband around the spacer pusher and the ending as shown and use the pin to keep it in place back. Get the string through the holes in the connectors as shown. Then place spacers on the red rods. Place the trap where you want (you may want to tape it down) and attach the string somewhere where it would be pulled. If something snags the string it will pull the pin out and it will shoot spacers.
