Kiss Principle English Breakfast Sandwich

.JPG)
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering what to eat for breakfast and I realised I had the makings for something delicious!
I call it the Kiss Principle English Breakfast Sandwich, for those who don´t know Kiss principle is a military phrase meaning: Keep It Simple Stupid the explanation is, if you do something simple and stupid and it works, its not stupid.
A little military humour... Back to the sandwich (Did you know the Sandwich was invented by the Earl of Sandwich?)
We have here a nearly complete English Breakfast, I say nearly complete because missing are tomatoes (personally I dont miss them on the Breakfast) and Sausages, I am not living in the UK and so I can´t get hold of the great british Banger (aka sausage) They have sausages here but not the same. If you want to do them too of course you can you could also do a double decker sandwich!!
Plus a little secret at the end, but don´t tell everyone.....
Supplies
2 - Slices of white sandwich Bread
1 Egg
Butter
Bacon (Try to get something like the British style Bacon which is a lot wider not thin/stringy)
Baked Beans (I love Heinz beans when I can get them)
Ketchup optional
cooking oil optional
Fry Your Bacon

First off I would say fry your bacon, I used butter to get the flavours moving and I used a standard frying pan or skillet as I think they are know in the U.S.
Fry One Slice of Bread

As any Brit can tell you to a good British Breakfast belongs a slice of fried bread. So since we are making a sandwich you can fry 1 piece of bread as the basis for our Sandwich. Note that I first fried the Bacon and left the juices and when you do the bread it soaks up all these delicous juices in itself. If you are frying with butter and it starts sticking you can put some oil in.
Once done you can put the bacon on the fried bread and proceed to the next step
Fry Your Beans

Baked beans in a tin are actually ready to it eat just cold, to warm them they are normally simply tipped into a sauce pan and warmed up, here you just put them into the frying pan and fry for a few seconds. I did not use all the beans you can use as much or little as you wish. Now to your egg....
Fry Your Egg

Last but not least Fry your egg, I find it has to be "sunny side up" this means it is fried but not so the yolk goes solid
I let the egg fry underneath so there is a nice solid base, so it won´t fall apart turning. When the underneath is firm you can flip the egg over and fry but not for long .
The Final Touch

Carefully put your egg on the bread, if you want you can stab the yolk with a fork to let the juices mix.
That done butter the the other piece of bread and put it on top.
Finished, make yourself a pot of coffee and enjoy, (I did!)
Now for a Secret

I have a cool Tin-opener which cuts sideways instead of inwards. What this means is when it cuts off an end there are no sharp edges either on lid or sides of can.
I cut off the bottom of the can, the top has a ring pull and after use washed the inside of the can, the base fits right on to the can like a pop of lid! You can stash valubles inside and it looks like an ordinairy un-opened can !!
if you want you can add tape or anything to hold the lid on tighter..
I hope you enjoy the sandwich and the secret can.
