Killer Shoe Mod - Add Spikes to Your Heels

Transform a pair of boring high heels into something Furiosa would be proud to wear!

Adding spikes to your shoes is easy to do and makes them 100% more bad ass (even if you are not a bad ass).

For this shoe mod, you'll need:

• shoes - I found these black high heels on sale at Sears for $17.99
• spikes (metal screw back studs) - I purchased mine from Rock Junction in Ottawa, but they are also easily found online
• drill and/or a craft knife
• screwdriver

Decide where you want to place your spikes. Avoid placing any on the inside of the feet, or you are more likely to knock them together when you walk.

Drill a small hole for each stud, mirroring the placement on the opposite shoe. If you don't have a drill handy, a sharp craft knife will also work.

Unscrew your spikes. Push the screw back through the hole in the shoe and then screw it into the stud. Tighten with a screw driver.

Wear your newly improved shoes like a bad ass, but be careful not to impale your dance partners.
