Keychain Holder

Hi All,

I will share a simple way to make a customized keychain holder using Tinkercad. Anyone can create 3d models by logging into Tinkercad website for free.

Supplies

  • Tinkercad
  • 3d Printer
  • Acrylic paint
  • metallic hooks

House

  • We start with basic shapes,
  • Drag and drop the following shapes as shown
  • Rectangles
  • Triangle
  • Adjust the height and width till one is happy with the basic house shape
  • Overall height is 8mm
  • Search for a heart shape from the right side of the tools and insert it as a hole
  • Adjust the position of the heart and combine to make our house shape

  • Insert Text from the Basic Shapes
  • Add a rectangle hole to remove "O" from HOME as shown
  • Overall height is 8mm
  • Bring the house shape, in-line with the text and group the shapes

  • Add rectangle with 10mm height
  • Add holes for the hooks (3mm diameter)
  • Add holes for the screws as shown
  • Group all to make our final shape

  • I used Ender 3 to print this
  • Layer height: 0.2mm
  • No Supports
  • Infill: 20%, Grid
  • Time taken 4 hrs

Finishing

  • Clean the edges with a box cutter
  • dry brush - paint the keychain holder with gold acrylic paint
  • Add the metallic hooks
  • Hang it on the wall and we are done
