Key Ring, Letters!

Project Overview:

In this project you will learn to make a key ring using letters!

Time to get creative. Design one for your friends or yourself.

Instructions

1. Start by dragging the letters to the red base (found under Design Starters > Letters and Numbers).
2. Note that you can find the red base in the same category in the Shapes Panel if you don't see it.
3. To make positioning the letters a little easier, change the snap grid setting from 1.0 to 0.25.
4. After placing a letter, the arrow keys on the keyboard will let you nudge the letters in any direction.
5. Continue to the next step.

Great! Now adjust the size of the red base to fit your name.

Instructions

1. It's easy to resize the base using the black dot on the right of the model
2. Click on the shape to select it, then drag the black dot until the red base matches the size of the letters.
3. Continue to the next step.

Now do a little clean up work by removing any left over letters at the top.

Instructions

1. You can click and drag your mouse across all the letters to select them.
2. Then, press the delete key on your keyboard to remove the selected letters.
3. Continue to the next step.

Now group the left over shapes into a single object.

Instructions

1. Select all remaining shapes.
2. Group them together by clicking on the "Group" button on the toolbar.
3. Continue to the next step.
