I made a lamb using a left over 1919 root beer keg and parts from a broken lamp.

Stuff You Will Need

Empty keg, parts from a lamp, or buy a lamp kit.

Oversized washer, used to help mount the light.

Screws.

Wire nuts and electronic tape.

Starting on the Lamp

Remove the plastic vent at the top, drill it out.

Remove plastic tap, your going to want to pull out the tap, once you have the tap out, cut the back of the tap then you can pull out the shafts of the tap, you will want to save the rubber o-ring of the tap.

Later you will place the rubber o-ring back in the tap hole, this will protect the lamp cord from the metal of the keg.

Putting It All Together

Get an oversized washer, and drill two holes into it, this washer will be used as the mounting plate for the light bulb assembly.

Cut electric cord, string o-ring and washer on to cord also string cord through keg at this time.

Reconnect cord with wire nuts and electrical tape.

Put power cord in keg, make sure o-ring is in place.

Attach washer to light bulb assembly with a nut, then attached assembly to the keg by screwing screws through the holes in the washer.

The only holes in had to drill into the keg were two small holes for the mounts screws.

Just use the vent and tap holes that are already there.

Add light bulb and oval lamb, and enjoy a unique light.
