Kaylah's Picture Frame

image0 (8).jpeg

For my project I have decided to create a picture frame. My client is a close family member who had a picture that wasn't stored but did not have enough money to go out and buy a picture frame. This being said, I have decided to create one for her. While designing this, I made sure the frame included her favorite elements to really make the idea come to life.

Supplies

Supplies:

1 Pencil

A Piece of paper

A designing resource (I used tinker cad)

3D printer

Decorative supplies (get creative :)

Fast/First Level Prototype

For my first prototype I didn't do something huge. I simply just got pencil and paper to sketch out a quick design with all of the elements my client has asked for. Interviewing your client is recommended so that you know their likes, desires, and needs to help create your design. Here is a sample of my interview questions for a reference just in case you don't know what to ask->Untitled document - Google Docs.

To create this design, I used tinker cad (an online design website) and made this model with 3 shapes. I created this using a trapezoid, cylinder, and a rectangle then I aligned the shapes to create the certain design I wanted; then I duplicated it and aligned all of them together. After you are done, you should now be able to print your design using your 3D printer. Make sure your design is on the printing surface or it will not be able to print. Finished Product

After my picture frame was done printing, I decorated it with materials I got from the store. This step is really easy and nothing much has to be said here but just be creative with your decorative skills. This is my final finished product of this design.
