Kaiserschmarrn is a cheap, delicious and one of the most famous austrian dishes.

We seperated the recipe in small and easy steps and you will need just a few materials such as flour, eggs, milk and butter.

So don`t be shy and give it a try :)

Ingredients (3P)

Mix the flour with the milk and stir it till it is smooth. Add the yorks, the vanilla sugar and the brown butter and mix it all together.

Whip the egg whites until stiff and then slowly add half of the sugar.

Fold in the beaten egg white to the dough. Be carefully, you don`t want to destroy the fluffyness!

In the Pan

While preheating your oven, melt 1 tbs. of butter in your (ovenproof!) pan and add the dough (medium heat). Wait approximately 3 - 5 minutes until the downside of the Kaiserschmarrn is baken golden brown.

Subsequently, place the pan in the preheated oven (use grill mode) and white until it is baken golden - yellow, too.

Caramelization

Put the pan back on the stov. Use two forks and cut up the Kaiserschmarn in bite - size portions.

Add the remaining butter and sugar, mix everything together (be gentile) and leave it to caramelize. Keep in mind, that you don`t want to burn it.

The Finish

Give it on a plate and dust everything with a little bit of powdered sugar.

I like to eat it with apple pie.

Enjoy!
