K'nex can be used for almost anything! You can build camera rigs, mazes, snow shovels, and wagons if you simply use your imagination! You can even go so far as building attachments for other toys, such as Nerf blasters!

Enter the K'nex Reverse Tac-Rail system.

The K'nex Reverse Tac-Rail system allows endless customization of K'nex accessories for Nerf blasters. In this example, we will be creating an aligned sight to aid in angled use of your blaster. It is a fairly simple build, albeit one that will improve your foam dart conflict skills immensely.

Let's get building!

Next, add a blue separator, underneath the rear aligned sight, as in pictures 5, 6, and 7. Next, add another reverse tac-rail piece, and another blue separator, as in pictures 8, 9, and 10. Repeat this pattern until there are a total of seven reverse tac-rail pieces on the purple rods, as in picture 19. Next, add the front aligned sight, and a grey connector, as in pictures 20 and 21. Finally, add the last reverse tac-rail piece, as in pictures 22 and 23.

Evenly space all pieces on the purple rods. There should be an extra (approximately 1.5 Millimeters) space between the rear reverse tac-rail piece and the rear aligned sight, as shown in picture 2.

Add two yellow rods to the rear aligned sight, as in pictures 3, 4, 5, and 6 to keep it from rotating or falling apart while in use.

To attach the K'nex Aligned Sight to a Nerf Blaster, hook the reverse tac-rail pieces around the tactical rail of the Nerf blaster, as in picture 2. Align the 1.5 Millimeter gap with the small metal nub under the tactical rail as in picture 3, then snap the sight onto the blaster. The nub will keep the sight from sliding and/or falling off.

Note: The Nerf blaster shown here is a Rapidstrike CS-18.

Done!
