KNEX SHRAPNEL GRENADE/MINE/GUN

A simple design that fires blue ring pieces as a one shot gun,mine, and grenade.

And to all KNEX builders, it gets boring to see the same one shot gun made small over and over!
Please post only new guns with improvements or totally new designs!

GATHERING THE MATERIALS

Get these pieces

Connectors
Green 14
Red 3
white 3
orange 2
light grey 6
grey 2
black nobs 4
sloted blue sphere 1

Rods
blue 10
green 19
white 4
yellow 2
red 1

Other
Any number of blue rings
Tape
String

BUILDING THE BASE PARTS

Build the base as shown

BUILDING THE TOP PARTS

Build the top of the grenade as shown.

CONNECTING THE PARTS

Connect all the parts together as shown.

ADDING THE FIRING MECHANISM

Add many small rubberbands onto the top and attach a red rod. Build the firing lock and slip it over the rubberbands. Remember 100 small rubberbands will last longer than one big one of equal strengh!

LOADING AND FIRING

Use the locking pin and attach it onto the black nobs of the base and firing lock. Then fill up the red rod with blue rings.

CHANGING MODES

For grenade mode tuck in the stand after loadting and throw.

For the mine mode use the stand and attach a trip wire to the locking pin. You may have to tape it down to anchor it.

For use as a one shot gun, use the stand as handle and push the pin.
