KISS Principle Sleeping System
This is based on the "Ranger Roll" simply said in this the Poncho is connected to the Poncho Liner you roll yourself in it done, However it can get cold or even into the minus Tempretures so I saw something and decided to try it and pass it on to you, so not exactly my invention but thought it good to pass on.
Supplies
Here you need your:
Poncho
Poncho Liner
Rescue Mylar Blanket
Wool or Fleece Blanket
4 Stones
Paracord
Knife
Layout Your Base
Layout your Poncho, then unfold your Rescue Blanket and place it on the poncho, point to note if you look somewhere like Amazon you will see Rescue Blankets and Bivi-Bags in this material more often than not with this orange side, these are more resilient then the traditional Gold/Silver Blankets, they are softer and easier to refold.
Wool or Fleece?
Now lay on top of that your Wool or Fleece Blanket (In the version I saw it said wool blanket but I think that adds weight and I looked up Fleece Blankets and it was said they are just about as good)
Connect It All
In the corners and middle of the Poncho are holes made for taking poles or tying off the Liner. in ours we are taking the stones and using them in each corner. what you do is take a piece of rescue blanket and fleece Blanket put your stone in it and wrap the material around it, then use a piece of Paracord to tie it off and tie it to the Gromet in the Ponch corner. After you have done this you take your Poncho Liner and lay that on top and tie it off at the Gromets.
So you see we have 4 layers which we can remove or add depending on the weather.
Climb Aboard
Now you can just roll yourself in it, if you want you can use the pop rivets on the sides of the Poncho to close it off.
If you want you can leave it built together and just roll it all together like in the cover photo.
I have tested it and found it very warm but must say I have NOT tested in minus tempretures, In theory it should work but I offer no Garantees. Also Ponchos donĀ“t take up a lot of room so you could take a second and make a shelter-
