Repair Droid Assembly v15

The decadence of the Old Republic where expensive and versatile R2 units could be used to repair the outside of ships in combat or transit is a long time in the past. The First Order created this low cost, single use droid to maintain and repair the exterior of their biggest and finest ships. Nicknamed the space barnacle, this repair droid's three magnetically anchored legs are equipped with a task-specific set of tools bolted into their hull facing sides, these units can be configured for routine maintenance, hull/armor repair, electronics repair, or any other task on the exterior of the ships hull. The droids can be configured for individual assignments or can communicate with each other to function as a hive minded work gang for larger tasks. The KE37 is fitted with stereo vision at all three feet as well as its head, and one foot is actually reversed to ensure a extra pair of eyes on the work area. The KE37 is not known for its bubbly personality, but they are fiercely loyal to the ships that they maintain. To save on costs, this same design is scaled up and down to fit the needs of various ships, with the MK1's leg span of nearly 3 meters being built specifically to serve on the First Order Capital Ship Supremacy.
