K8P-O, often referred to as Kapo (as in guitar capo) is a droid programmed for musical entertainment. A self-symphony droid, Kapo is equipped with a handful of musical instruments, allowing him the sound of a full band merely by himself. His instruments include both a guitar and bass guitar, a full eighty-eight-key piano separated into four sections around his torso, two horns, a collection of flute pipes, a steel pan drum, and a hi-hat cymbal atop his head.
When not in use, the guitars and horns can be folded up, or retracted, and stored in their compartments, which can then be closed. The compartments holding the pianos can close as well. Kapo is entirely capable of the upkeep of the instruments, such as changing the guitar strings or cleaning out the horns. When his instruments are concealed, his legs can retract downward, thus reducing his height. The two meters on his face display his volume levels.
Self-symphony droids are not mass manufactured or really available to the public at all, for that matter. They can be commissioned from only a mere few throughout the entire galaxy, should one even be lucky enough to get in contact with any of them. This makes self-symphony droids rather rare and sought-after among a certain crowd. They are not the droid of your average spacefarer.
Kapo has certainly seen his fair share of the galaxy, traversing back and forth between systems all while shifting between the hands of many. He even joined up with a group of rebels for a short while.
I haven't any prior experience with any software of this sort; I did my utmost and learned as I went. A quick hand-drawn sketch was what I had to start. The guitars, arms, horns, and all six mallets for the steel drum are all separate components that must be glued to the rest of the model.
