3D Prints
First, print the 3D models
- twice the clip (45 min) and once the connection piece (1h53)
the STL files can be found here.
Bearing
- place the bolt, bearing and nut as in the first photo
- slide the bearing over the bolt
- tighten the nut around the bolt
- if necessary, tighten it a little with a spanner
- if your result is the same as in the last picture, you are doing well
Jiggle Ring
- take the juggling ring and place it with a particle off the edge of your work table
- tighten the ring with two clamps
- place a hole saw with the same diameter of the bearing on your drill bit
- drill a hole in the centre of the juggling ring
- sand the hole
Connection Piece
- take the support out from the connection piece of the selfie stick
- remove the support using a tool you find easy (e.g. small pliers), the connection piece should be hollow
- now clamp the piece between a vice (not too hard so it doesn't break)
- now screw in the (insert) thread
- screw it in using a tool (e.g. a metal strip)
- turn until you can go no further
Wooden Ball
- take the wooden ball, the selfie stick and the bolt
- clamp the ball with the vice and drill a hole the same diameter as the bolt
- screw the bolt into the ball
- if necessary, tighten it a little with a screwdriver
Merging
After these four separate steps, we can start putting everything together.
- take the bearing and the ring
- place the bearing in the hole of the ring
- slide the 3D printed clip over it (make sure it doesn't go outside the ring)
- use the marker to mark where the four screws will go
- drill four holes near the dots (the same diameter as the screws)
- screw the screws into the holes
- turn the ring and slide another clip over the four screws
- now screw the four (cap) nuts over the screws
- the largest bolt (the one from the bearing) sticks out at one side
- screw the connection piece onto it
- now we can also attach the selfie stick to the connection piece
- screw a bolt through the connector and the selfie stick, don't forget the washers
- tighten with a wing nut
