Japanese Omelette With Ham!!
Japanese Omelette has this unique shape and is made with mainly egg.
We are going to make a Japanese omelette and will be adding Japanese roasted ham.
It should only take 10-20 minutes so it will be a fun and easy home cooking for everyone.
Ingredients!
Alright! Let's make your Japanese omelette
You will need the following ingredients: - 3 M or L sized eggs - 1 spoon full of olive oil(cooking oil, butter, margarine would also work) - 2 slices of ham(bacon also works just cut it thin) - 2 pinches of salt, parsley, and pepper(these are adjustable to your mood)
Step 1: Ham!
Now let's get started.
Get the frying pan heated up at medium heat.
Now when it's hot be careful you don't want to burn yourself.
Add the 1 spoon full of olive oil and spread it out.
Now when the olive oil is ready add the two ham!
*Ham and oil may fly your way so a lid is optional, but do not close it all the way*
Cook until it looks crispy and coloured.
Step 2: Chop Chop
Now when the ham is ready move it onto you cutting board.
*Make sure the fire is turned off*
Like in the picture first cut it into half
Next, put one half on the other.
After you are done so cut 4 horizontal lines through it like in the picture.
When you are done, try to cut them into 1cm x 1cm bacon(ham)chips but cutting vertically.
Step 3 Eggs
Alright now that the ham is done, let's move on to the eggs.
Crack 3 eggs into a bowl and start whisking it.
Key point is to whisk it in a way so you create air-bubbles.
when you think you are done it should look like the last picture above.
Step 4: Omellete
Now start up the fire at medium heat and get the frying pan ready.
Key point: You can reduce heat if you want more time to mix.
When you add the egg, quickly mix with a chopsticks within the pan make sure to also mix the outside.
Key tip when mixing: mix in a circle shape and mix the out side more than the middle.
Turn off the heat and add some of the cooked ham you've cooked. Spread them out equally.
When that is done, run your chopsticks around the egg tracing the edge of the frying pan.
Optional: you can use a spatula for better control.
When you have ran the chopsticks through around at-least once, try and fold it into halfs or thirds.
Step 6: Decorate
Place the omelette by rolling it on the place nicely on the middle.
Then with the salt, pepper, and parsley decorate and flavour it.
It is prefered add around 2-3 pinches of each to keep balance between the salt and egg.
In the picture it is 3 pinches of salt, 2 pinches of pepper and 3.5 pinches of parsley.
However there are days where less salty or more salty is preferred, so it is up to you!
But most importantly, enjoy your food.
