Jack-0-Lantern Lamp
A lamp with the shape of a simplified jack-0-lantern.. By using a color changing led puck inside.. you can have different color lights when you tap on his head. I also made a rounded top head of the lantern..
If you print the flat head.. than you can stack the jack-0-lantern on top of each other..
Difficulty level:
- 3D printing - Easy
- Assembly - Easy
- Wiring - Nop
- Painting - Nop
So lets begin..
Supplies
the RGBW light puck can be found on Bambulab store.. it uses 3x AAA batteries..
the files and link to the puck lights can be found here:

3D Printing All Parts
there are 4 parts to the jack-0-lantern..
- top head
- base body
- battery cover
- light difuser
the light difuser should be printed using bright filaments.. since i have a lot leftover filaments.. i printed them in different colors
the file can be downloaded here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1913274-jack-o-lantern-lamp#profileId-2051951
Prepping the Electronics
- The light in the lamp uses the bambulan RGBW puck light.. you'll have to gut the puck light and remove the top of the puck..
- align and insert the light base with the base of the lantern.. there is a peg to align the head, difuser and base.. the peg will be on the back of the lantern.. so align the puck base to the button on the back..
- you will reuse the screw of the puck to screw the 2 base together..
- after that everything is straightforward to install.. you'll need to glue all the parts together.. the difuser base should be install to the head lantern.. so that when the light shines through it would bounce off the difuser..
Conclussion
The Jack-0-Lantern lamp is an easy project to 3d print and assemble.. you just need the right parts for it..
I printed mine in different colors.. it could also make a cool night lamp..
Have fun 3d printing the jack-0-lantern lamp..
