Its Not Liquid Nitrogen

untitled.bmp
Ever wanted to freeze balloons so they shrivel up?
But you couldn't get your hands on industrial quality liquid nitrogen?
(if you can allready, then there is no need to look at this)
Well now you can! sort of.
the stuff were using is not liquid nitrogen, but something that is commercially avalible:
COMPRESSED GAS DUSTER! YEAH!

Other Stuff You'll Need

FILE0194 copy.jpg
you'll need...
1 compressed gas duster(as mentioned)
1 thin walled balloon(like a water balloon)
1 means of holding the balloon(hands might work but they might freeze)
WARNING:THE GAS IN THE COMMPRESSED GAS DUSTER IS FLAMMIBLE!
IT IS YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU WANT TO USE IT AS A FLAMETHROWER(whoops)
WARNING(again):THIS STUFF CANOT ONLY CATCH ON FIRE, IT IS REALY COLD I WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR FROSTBITTEN OR BARBEQUED FINGERS; ATTEMPT AT YOUR OWN RISK. MAXIMUM VENTILATION RECCOMMENDED, OUTSIDE IS THE BEST WELL AWAY FROM ANY SOURCES OF FLAME!

Inflation: Its a Good Thing (at Least in This Case)

Fill the Balloon with the gas, NOT AIR!
I REPEAT NOT AIR!
(it just wont work you can try if you want)
then tie off the balloon and hold on to it by using "your means of holding the balloon"

Freeze!

Turn the COMRESSED GAS DUSTER UPSIDE DOWN
and pull the trigger thing thus releasing the negative 100degree centigrade liquid gas(oxymoron?)
onto the balloon making it shrivel up before your eyes!
WARNING(again, again, again):THE GAS IN THE COMMPRESSED GAS DUSTER IS FLAMMIBLE!
IT IS YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU WANT TO USE IT AS A FLAMETHROWER(whoops)
WARNING(again, again, again, again):THIS STUFF CANOT ONLY CATCH ON FIRE, IT IS REALY COLD I WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR FROSTBITTEN OR BARBEQUED FINGERS; ATTEMPT AT YOUR OWN RISK. MAXIMUM VENTILATION RECCOMMENDED, OUTSIDE IS THE BEST WELL AWAY FROM ANY SOURCES OF FLAME!

You Did It!

But how does it work?
the gas is in a liquid form as it exits the can,
but as it contacts the balloon, the liquid evaporates
the resulting rapid evaporation of liquid gas(oxymoron again)
takes some of the balloons heat with it (stealer!)
making the balloon shrivel up!
NOW YOU KNOW!!!
