Iron Man 3 Helmet Lamp

Note - This is an incomplete project

I bought this mask of ebay as a shelf piece and had an idea.....what good is an Iron Man mask if it doesn't light up?

Since this mask is VERY thin plastic I lined it with black duct tape to trap the light in without making the entire piece glow.

I sprayed an adhesive inside the helmet over the tape and lined it with aluminum foil.

I removed the lamp shade off a well rounded lamp base and turned it on. I left it on for a few to test heat buildup. It passed the test.

I was afraid of the heat factor of the lamp , so I took some christmas lights and put all the blue lights toward the front taping them to an old mannequin head. I will redo this when I find a strand with a switch.
