Inverted Fish Tank Tower
Here's a fun and easy little project, to enhance and your fish pond and make it stand out!
I have also made a detailed instructional video.
All the best with your future projects!
Supplies
-Glass fish tank
-Angle aluminium
-Pop rivets
-A small section of hose
Build a Basic Frame
The first step is to build a frame to sit fully immersed under the water to hold the fish tank up. I'm using aluminium as it will not rust near as much as steel and timber will rot.
My fish pond is unlevel at the bottom so the legs are different in length to compensate for that.
A hacksaw will cut through the aluminium easily and I used a drill and pop rivets to fasten the legs to the frame.

Placing the Tank on the Frame
Place your frame into the pond and then put the fish tank upside down on top of the frame, making sure that the tank sits just below the water level to create an airtight seal, the tank doesn't have to be perfectly level but try to get as close to level as possible.
Raising the Water Level
Using a plastic hose start to suck the air out of the tank. This will cause the water level to rise. I also have a tap running water into the pond at the same time to maintain the water level and keep the airtight seal at the base of the tank.
Getting the Water Level to the Top
Once the water level is all way to the top, remove the hose and you're good to go!
The fish love it 👍🙂
