Install Dodge RAM LED Light Bars

iJDMTOY's line of Dodge RAM LED light bars offer intense output for any utility-related tasks. They come in a variety of wattage and length, which is what we're going to be going over. Each LED light bar length has slight variations in their installation process in relation to the factory tow hooks, so it's important to know how to deal with each situation. This Instructable is applicable to the Dodge RAM 2500 and 3500 models only.

The 20 inch LED light bar will allow you to easily retain the use of your tow hooks because of its relatively short length. This set of instructions apply to the 2003-2015 RAM single-row LED light bar, the 2009-2015 RAM double-row LED light bar, and the 2009-2016 RAM strobing amber LED light bar.

1. Unbolt your tow hooks. Carefully slide in your LED light bar by angling it to prevent any blemishes.
2. Rebolt the tow hooks over the metal mounting support brackets.
3. Secure the LED light bar to the mounting brackets with the included hardware.

The 30 inch LED light bar will also allow you to retain the use of your tow hooks. However, if you choose to keep them bolted on, the LED light bar will protrude outwards. The tow hooks exclusively designed for the 2003-2016 Dodge RAM will not allow you to bolt onto the inner portion of the gap. Again, this set of instructions apply to the single-row and double-row LED light bars.

1. Unbolt your tow hooks. Carefully slide in your LED light bar by angling it if you choose not to use your tow hooks. Otherwise, you will be able to insert it at the mouth of your lower bumper with no problems.
2. Rebolt the tow hooks over the metal mounting support brackets. If you are not keeping your tow hooks, simply bolt on the mounting brackets onto the tow hook mounting location.
3. Secure the LED light bar to the mounting brackets with the included hardware. After you bolt on one side, the other side will be a tight fit. Use a flathead screwdriver or like item to push the metal bracket out a bit to allow the LED light bar to slide in.

You will NOT be able to retain your tow hooks if you choose to install the 40 inch LED light bar onto your 2003-up Dodge RAM. The length of the LED light bar will take up the entire opening of your lower bumper and will leave no room for your tow hooks.

1. Unbolt your tow hooks. Carefully slide in your LED light bar by angling it to prevent any blemishes.
2. Bolt on the mounting brackets onto the tow hook mounting location.
3. Secure the LED light bar to the mounting brackets with the included hardware.
