  • I use Fusion360 to design watch casing and strap.
  • i disassemble my old watch and use a watch machine in this project.
  • First I take all dimensions of the watch machine and design a case appropriate to hold that machine inside safely with bottom lead.
  • Inside the watch case I placed 6 circular places in 60 degree pacing for 6 Infinity stones.
  • I design a strap Similar to a metal watch strap.
  • Also make a 3 circle on a strap for infinity stone side by side.
  • Make 3d printed pins to connect all straps and make it movable.

  • For 3d printing Case and strap first we export .STL file from fusion 360.
  • For export, goto body > right click > save as mesh > write file name > save.
  • Repeat this for all components of design.

I have an Ender-3 3d printer .i use CURA as a slicer for making G-CODE files for Ender-3.

Import all files in Cura and set parameters for 3d printing.

3D Print parameter

Layer height : 0.2

Wall : 2

Top / bottom : 4

Infill: 30%

Material PLA

Speed: 40 mm/s

Support : on

Adhesion: Brim

After setting parameters, click the slice button on bottom right to generate toolpath for the 3d printer.

Save the G_COde File and start the printing.

Post Process of 3d Printed Parts.

For post processing of the 3d printed part we need some tools for removing support and Sand papers for the smoothing part.

You can sand part as much finish you want.

Spray Paint 3d Printed Parts

  • For Painting I use acrylic colour spray.
  • Use golden spray for casing and some strap.use silver for remaining straps.
  • Place pats on paper and spray colour from 15cm distance for even spray.
  • Place outside to dry.

Resin & Glow in Dark Material

I use clear resin and dark glow powder to make stones which glow at night time.

After mixing resin and hardener I mix dark glow powder in separate colors to make 6 different infinity stones.

I pour this different colour resin mixture in six different circular pours which are placed inside the dial of the watch and on the straps.

resin takes time to harden.

Use old watch machine for this watch.

First place ring inside main case and assemble strap as per image.

Assemble all components and charge dark in glow material using UV light with sun rays.

It looks very cool and gives a nice effect of the Infinity stone on your hand.
