Infinitely Repeating Gear Board (Spinning Art Pixel Pattern)

This is a cool art piece I made based off of multiple designs from engineezy. You can make spinning pixel art at any scale, or even just make a small fidget.

Supplies

All you need is a single 3d printer, and any color of plastic filament you want. Flexible filament will not work, due to multiple reasons, one being how the pins that the gears snap onto need to be hard to keep the gears secure.

Prepare to Print

Your going to need to download the attached stl files, as all 3 are needed to make a grid more than 2 gears wide/tall. Input the models into your 3d printing software of choice, and send it to your printer. for each prong, you will need one gear, so use multiple gears.

Assemble the Build

after all your parts have been printed to the same scale, place them together as the thumbnail shows. if you choose to make a board that is more than 2 gears wide or tall, you can print the small brackets to click into place 2 bigger pieces. Glue is suggested, as the part may tend to wiggle in their spots, but this is only optional. It is advised that you plan out what it will look like before assembly, as it make be hard to undo.

Have fun and enjoy your pixel gear art.
