We live surrounded by data. However, this data is only as useful as we make it, and it's hard to be connected to streams of numbers, even if the streams of numbers are related to something we really care about - pollution levels, stock prices, our own body metrics.
Indivisual is a connected object for you to visualise the data you care about. Through a simple and beautiful interface involving a single strand of actuated electroluminescent wire, Indivisual takes in and displays data from sensors, dynamic data streams, or any other way you can give it a stream of numbers. :)
Step 1: Get Parts

We had to salvage some sliders. We took apart an old mixing desk and desoldered some sliders.
We also designed and tried out the housing, which we made out of laser cut plywood. We also had to make little holders for the wire, which we cut out of acrylic.
Step 2: the IoT System

Using the Edison, we used feedback control to control the linear sliders according to analog data.
Step 3: the Final Product!
