Imperial Pie Fighter

I've always thought that a TIE fighter looked a little like a pie with wings. So lets make an edible "Imperial Pie Fighter".
Supplies

A mini pie (top diameter 3.25", height 1.125" bottom diameter 2")
chocolate graham crackers
chocolate chips or other chocolate for melting/gluing
Pirouette cookies (crisp tube cookies)
Shaping the Parts

Start by shaping the graham crackers into the fins/wings of the TIE/Pie fighter. Since the crackers and cookies are brittle the best way to cut/trim them is sawing with a serrated knife.
The graham crackers will be the hexagonal wings. The Pirouette cookie will form the bar that connects the pie/cockpit to the wings.
Take one graham cracker rectangle and trim the corners off one of the long sides to give the hexagonal look of the Tie Fighter wings. Unfortunately these materials are not strong enough to make the full hexagon wings. For this version, the wings will only be half wings so it can lie flat.
Originally I tried to make a fully 3D version of this but it didn't work. Stick around to the end of the Instructable to see the failure.
Also cut one of the Pirouette cookies in half. This will help support the pie at the center.
Chocolate Glue

Melt the chocolate chips. I used a microwave in 15 to 30 second bursts until the chips melted. The melted chocolate will be the glue that will hold the Pie Fighter together.
Start by glueing the half Pirouettes to the center of one whole Pirouette to form a base in the middle to support the pie. Put a large blob of chocolate on top and stick the pie in the center.
Now put a dollop of melted chocolate on the ends of the Pirouette cookie and stick the trimmed graham crackers perpendicular to the ends of the Pirouette cookie.
Your Pie Fighter is ready.
Attack of the Rebel Bitter

Oh no! A rebel bitter is attacking the Pie Fighter
Learn From My Mistakes

Originally I wanted to have the Pirouette cookie go thru the pie to suspend it off the ground. However pie crust is not know for its structural integrity. I started by poking a straw thru the pie and then pushed the Pirouette cookie thru the hole. The pie cracked and split and the cookie popped out.
The force was weak with this one.
