Imaginary Flag

In this project, I will be teaching you to draw a cool flag. You could do several things with it. You could hang it up on a wall, or use it to decorate your house, then this could work for you. It doesn't require a lot of materials, as it is only a drawing. You could also gift it to somebody for Christmas or their birthday. The picture is what your end project would look like.

• A piece of paper (cardstock paper works best)
• A pencil (mechanical works best)
• (Optional) Colored pencils or markers if you want to color it
• (Optional) Sharpie to trace it
• A flat surface
• Ruler or straight edge to draw straight lines

Make sure you have all your materials with you: pencil, paper, etc. Also, make sure you have a flat surface to draw on. Once you have these, you are ready to move on to the next step.

Draw lines around the edge of the paper as shown in the picture.

Draw circles on the lines as shown in the picture. Repeat this process for every set of lines. Erase the lines that go through the circle like I did if you want to make it look a little better.

Draw the cross in the middle as shown in the picture. There will be a separate design in each little square of the cross.

Draw the polka dots in the pattern shown in the picture. This may take a little longer than the other steps if you want to be as precise as possible because there are so many dots.

Draw the squares in the second box as shown.

Draw the stripes in the third box as shown in the picture.

In this step, you need to draw these curls in the fourth box as shown in the picture. Almost done!

In this step, we are going to be designing the middle cross as shown in the picture with circles and other shapes. This is the last required step, so if you don't want to color it, then you're done!

In this step, you will be using your colored pencils and markers to fill in the designs in the picture. You can use your own colors and design it however you want.
