This is a guide for how to make two IKEA Lack Floating selves from one IKEA Lack table.

You will need one table from IKEA, check if you can find a super deal for half price in "as is section".

You have to mark a straight line for sawing into half the table top, then use your favorite saw either by hand or a powertool just be sure to be precise and gentle. After you chopped the table top, find four brakets like these in the photo from selves like the IKEA dormer type. Cut if it needs like in the photo and bend to make an L shape with the help of a jigg and a hummer. In my case i used a special tool for this kind of bendings.
You have to make the L brackets fitting between the sandwich boards of the table top.
and dont forget to make 2 holes in each bracket for mount them on the wall.

Mounting on the Wall

Now you have to place them in position for drilling the wall, the L brackets must have 53cm length from the outer sides, as you see in the photo. Be sure to be horizontal aligned, also take an L bracket like the one in the photos and slip under the bracket which holds the self, this will be used to lock the self into place. you will see in the next step.

As soon as you have mounted the brackets on the wall and didn't forgot to place the small L bracket for locking the selves on them, you are ready to slip in the selves. Make a mark for where you are going to bolt the locking screw as you see in the pictures, check the alignment and you are ready!
