Ice Cream Pizza

IMG_0153.JPG

This instructable will show you how to make an Ice Cream Pizza. I used cookie for the crust, ice cream for the sauce, whipped cream for the cheese, and assorted candies for the toppings. I tried to keep it quite close to a pizza, matching each part to something on an actual pizza. I even made sure that each topping represent a real pizza topping! This is quite easy to make and tastes delicious when served!

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease the pizza pan if you haven't already and get out one of your bowls (make sure not to use the mixer bowl).

Put 1 1/8 cups of flour and 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda into the bowl.

Next in a mixer bowl you'll want to mix together 1/2 a cup of softened unsalted butter and 1 cup of cane sugar.

In the mixer bowl add 1 large egg and 1/4 teaspoon of salt and beat until well combined.

Now you'll want to add in the flour mixture (flour and baking soda) and blend in using the mixer until smooth.

Add the chocolate chips and mix for 30 seconds.

Now it's ready to go on the pan. Place out the dough in small lumps. This way when you now spread out the dough all the parts of the cookie will evenly distribute over the pan. If you have trouble, try wetting your hands slightly so the dough doesn't stick to you as much.

Cook in the oven for 14 minutes and leave out to cool. However, make sure you don't remove the cookie from the pan!

Adding the Sauce (Ice Cream)

Now that your crust has cooled you'll want to add the ice cream. I used chocolate but you can use any flavor you want. Take a knife and spread the ice cream out equally. It helps to have it slightly thawed already and to put it out in small piles instead of one big lump. Don't worry if the 'sauce' looks lumpy it will turn out fine in the end.

CHEESE! (Whipped Cream)

With the sauce now on you can add the cheese. Basically do what you did with the sauce and spread the slightly thawed whipped cream out in small lumps. It will still be not quite smooth like the sauce was but the end product will look and taste great all the same.

The All-Important Toppings (Assorted Candies)

Now that all you have left is the toppings go ahead and add them. Among other things I used red licorice wheels for tomatoes and gummi worms for peppers, but you can use anything you want! Enjoy the pizza and keep it cool until shortly before eating!
