Ice Cold Tropical Kool-Aid Slushy

If you’re like me then I know you love the taste of Kool-Aid, and as the year is getting warmer you might need a new “cool” way to spice things up for once.

1 and 1/2 cups of water

1 cup of sugar

1 Kool-Aid unsweetened drink mix

5 cups of ice

Cup, Blender, Straw, or Spoon

Get all of the supplies shown in the picture, it doesn’t matter what Kool-Aid flavor you choose, this homemade recipe will work with any flavor.

Make sure you have the exact measurements to get the best taste. don’t put too much of one thing and don’t put too little of one thing either.

Now you will want to pour 1 and 1/2 cups of cold water into the blender, this is for obvious reasons.

You will need to add 1 cup of sugar to make sure it’s sweet. Trust me 1 cup is enough.

Now you would want to pour in the full Kool-Aid pouch into the blender.

Now you will pour 5 cups full of ice. This ice is a very important part of the slushy if you want the right slush texture.

This is the key. Don’t blend it too hard or too long or else all of the ice will loose its slush texture. Blend for at most 10 seconds.

Take all/most of your slushy and pour into another container. You could leave some in the blender possibly to share with others.

Once you have the slushy in your favorite cup stir it up so you can get the perfect look you want.

Now that you’ve finished making the simple homemade recipe you can scoop it with a spoon or slurp it with a straw. If you want to make some for more than one person just multiply the ingredients by however many people you’re serving.
