IR Home Automation
Hello Guys welcome back to another interesting blog of YK Electrical. In this blog we will see how to use an automated Lighting System using IR sensors which is also gesture controlled.
Supplies
- IR Sensor (2 Qty.)
- DPDT Relay (2 Qty.)
- BC547 Transistor (2 Qty.)
- 10 KΩ (2 Qty.)
- 2 Pin Terminal Block (5 Qty.)
CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
Follow the above Circuit Diagram to solder all those Required Components on the PCB.
Ordering PCB From JLCPCB
Ordering PCb from JLCPCB is quite simple and easy.
You just have to add your gerber file (max upto 6 layers) , select layer and add to cart then checkout securely and the sum. That's it no your designed PCB is at your doorstep.
IR SENSOR
An infrared (IR) sensor is an electronic device that measures and detects infrared radiation in its surrounding environment. Infrared radiation was accidentally discovered by an astronomer named William Herchel in 1800. While measuring the temperature of each color of light (separated by a prism), he noticed that the temperature just beyond the red light was highest. IR is invisible to the human eye, as its wavelength is longer than that of visible light (though it is still on the same electromagnetic spectrum). Anything that emits heat (everything that has a temperature above around five degrees Kelvin) gives off infrared radiation.
WORKING
The working principle of this project is Object detection using Ir Sensor and Home Automation. This project is combined with both this technology. Through the IR sensor we detect the Object in front of it and through the Home automation technique.
PROCEDURE
- First place the IR Sensor at its desired place and solder all those components.
- Now connect the AC bulbs at 2 pin terminal Block and give Power Supply.
That's it all done now our Ir based Automation is ready.
APPLICATION
Contact less Switch is the best applicable way of using this technology.
