This project turns an Ikea Albert shelving unit into three furniture pieces: a bedside table, a records rack, and a computer stand.
Combining woodworking and 3D Printing, this quick hack would allow you to redistribute resources for alternative use, a sustainable way of decorating your home!

Remove a total of 32 screws (8 screws per shelf).
We will use the vertical slats and two shelves for the bedside table, one shelf for the records rack and one shelf for the computer stand.
Cut

Cut the four vertical slats 60cm long.
Use sandpaper to smoothen the surface.
Bedside Table

Screw one shelf unit to the vertical slats, making sure the pieces align.
Use the four 3D printed connectors to join the two shelves.
Records Rack

Remove all the screws from one shelf.
Cut the three long slats at your preferred length.
Assemble the shelf.
Use the two 3D printed covers to finish the records rack. They should be glued for a permanent position.
Computer Stand

Use the four 3D printed legs to create the stand. They could be glued but it is not necessary.
