Hello, In this project, I will misuse the basic things and turn into something different and useful. I try to create thing from what we use in everyday life. In this case I will reused paper cup, soda can, CD case and make it into a working lamp. The lamp can be used in any rooms and can be decorated piece as well. It will make your room look good. It’s easy to make and take less than 10 minutes. Let’s start.

Supplies that you need to do I Can’s project.

1. Any soda can, paper cup, CD case (For me, I want to make it blue, So, I use Pepsi color.)

2. Small light bulb, light socket, switch, plug’s wire with switch, and heat shrink tube.

3. Wire , hot glue gun.

The Base (Pepsi's Can)

First, I drill small hole at the bottom of the can for the plug wire to go to the top of the top of the can. Next I attach the light socket with the plug wire by soldering and use the heat shrink tube. Then use the hot glue gun to attach the light socket on the top of the Pepsi can.

The Lamp Shade (Pepsi's Paper Cup)

Now I cut the bottom of the Pepsi’s paper cup to make the opening a little bit bigger. So when I lowered the paper cup, the proportion of the lamp will looks good. Now I know the height of the paper cup, then I start to bend the wire to hold the paper cup as the shade above the can base. The wire need to bend around the light bulb and at the end is the base to hold the plastic lid of the paper cup and the other end make the wire wrap around the light socket base.

Last put the bulb into the light socket and test it out. Then place the wire that already bend to shape on the light socket base and use hot glue gun attach the plastic lid to the wire and attach the plastic lid to the paper cup. Next use hot glue gun attach the bottom of the Pepsi’s can to the CD case. (For me I attach at the corner of the CD case. It’s looks better than in the middle of the CD case.)

Thanks
