These tiny plain terracotta pots in the garden centre were too cute to deny, so i revamped them in to Winnie the Pooh Hunny Pots to keep my bits and bobs.

Supplies

You will need: A glue gun, terracotta pots, acrylic paint pens.

Paint the bottom and the top of the pot with your chosen colour, leaving a band unpainted in the centre to paint later.

Decide whether you'd like a pale base colour with a dark band, or a dark base colour with a pale band. Or pick whatever colour scheme sparks joy with you.

You may have to do two coats depending on the quality of your paint pens.

Let it dry thoroughly between layers.

Now it's time to paint the centre band. I thought the dark green complimented the light green nicely. Let that fully dry.

Once that's fully dried, use a white or black marker to write the word 'HUNNY' on to that centre band.

If you used a dark colour for the band then use the white marker for the writing, and if you used a lighter colour for the band then use the black marker for the writing so that it's visible.

The way Hunny is spelt in winnie the pooh is with one of the letter N's being backwards.

Get the glue gun out and embellish the pot with some sticky hunny. It's as simple as letting the hot glue run down the edge.

You can cut and trim any stringy bits afterwards.

Paint the hot glud in yellow like honey, being careful not to spoil the rest of the paint job so far. Set it aside to dry

Find some little trinkets and bits to keep in your hunny pots. It all epends on the size of the pot you've chosen to decorate but mine are tiny enough to keep hair clips and bands in.
