Human Piñata Game (No Sticks Involved)

Disclaimer: This game does NOT involve whacking people with sticks.

I use this fun game at birthday parties and it's a HUGE hit. "Human Pinata" is a game where you have 2 people wearing candy-covered shirts, and kids will chase said people and try to pull the candy off of them. It's fun to play, easy to set up, and everybody will leave the party smiling!

Supplies

2 T-shirts

Lots of mini candy bars

2 volunteers

Kids to play the game

Set Up

First, you need to find two volunteers. These people will be the ones wearing the shirts and running around. Next, you need to prepare the candy-covered shirts. I used two shirts that I already had at home, but I had to go to Walmart to get the mini candy bars.

All you have to do is attach your mini candy bars with one long piece of blue painter's tape to a T-shirt that fits the volunteers. After lots of experimenting, I found this was the best method for me. First, you need to find two volunteers. These people will be the ones wearing the shirts and running around.

Play the Game

Now, after explaining the rules to the players, have the two human pinatas run around. After they get a 5-second head start, allow the players to start chasing them. All the players have to do is pull the candy off of the "pinatas". Depending on the number of players, you may want to set a limit of candy per person. For example, I had 10 players and 50 pieces of candy total, so I told the kids if they got 5 pieces, they had to go sit down.

Make sure to tell your players to be gentle, no hitting, slapping, etc. Be aware: this game ends faster than you can say "Pinata", especially if you have younger kids playing. I don't know about you, but I'm a huge fan of candy!
