How to Make Paper Slippers
When you are traveling and find that you have forgotten to pack your bedroom slippers - here is a pair that you can fold in a jiffy from a piece of heavy paper. The pair are so easy to make that any one can do them! All sorts of fancy costume touches could be added like jewels, papers cut outs and glitter that you can really transform them into cute little slippers. A great rainy day afternoon fun for children too.

Choosing the Right Paper
Get a piece of paper that almost measures double you foot lenght. Just to make sure you have enough paper. I taped to sheets together to get my size.
The Folding Starts
Here you are going to fold over the 2 sides about 1.5 inches to form your slippers. Make sure you crease the folds well - use the back of a spoon to help.
Folding the Sides Over
This step you will continue to fold over the sides again. Keeping with the same 1.5 inch fold over just like you did in previous step. Fold over one more time so you have your paper looking like picture 2.
Making the Sides of the Slippers
Now that you have folded over and over - stand up your last fold to form the sides of your slippers.
Folding Up the Heel
Almost like wrapping a gift - fold over the back two sides and tape the tip over to form the heel of your slippers
Measuring You Size
Place your foot into the back of the heel and measure how much you will need to fold over to make your top part of the slippers.
Glue the Top to the Sides
Using strong glue - fold over the top and glue the sides to the top. I used paper clips to keep in place as it dried
Adding the Details to Finish Off Your Slippers
Here I cut out some of the flowers from the paper and glued them to the top to give it some style but have fun with adding the details to your slippers.
