How to Make a Sparkly Explosion Volcano

Have you ever seen a volcano erupt glitter?? Well now you can! This experiment is simple and involves the classic combination of vinegar and baking soda to make a volcanic eruption. The only addition to this experiment is glitter to make it shine! Let's get started to see what baking soda and vinegar can do!

Gather Materials

-vinegar

-food coloring(red food coloring)

-baking soda

-vase

-glitter

Step 1

pour in 3 tablespoons of baking soda

Add Coloring

add 7 drops of food coloring

Add Glitter

add 1 tablespoon of glitter

I hope you enjoyed making your explosion glitter! Next time add more glitter and baking soda for a more dramatic finish. We conducted this experiment several times, all students got to participate.
