How to Make a Quick Business Card Holder
follow these simple steps, and in about 10 minutes you can have a handy card holder to display your business cards or just about anything else flat you may want to display.
Find Your Scrap.
First up, find a suitable piece of scrap, this piece is about 2.5 inches tall and 18 inches long. You will only need about 7 inches of lenght.
Cut Sides.
Using a band say, cut two equal lengths, about 2 in. to be used as the sides
cut a diagonal starting about 3/4 in. in from the top left corner to about an inch in and inch up from the bottom right.
notch out the flat at the bottom to accomodate cards.

Cut the Back Out
Cut a piece approx. 3.5-4 in. long and equal in height to your side pieces
Cut notches the thickness of the scrap you are using about half way down and approx 1/4-1/2 in in from edge.

Notch the Sides
With the notches cut in the back you can now cut slots in the side pieces to match. These should be deep enough that the two pieces mate up to be flush at the top and bottom.
Clean Up the Edges and Notches.
With a sander or some sand paper and a file, clean up your edges and all the slots to make sure everything fits tight and looks relatively nice
Assemble the Sides and Back, and Fill With Cards.
with all your notches sorted, assemble the sides and back. Make sure everything is tight and flush and then fill it up with your business cards, etc.
this project can pretty easily be adapted to hold and display just about any size of card or paper, just adjust the size of the pieces to fit your needs.
