How to Make a Protein Shake
Protein shakes are very useful substances for supplying our bodies with a mass of vitamins and protein. When working out or lifting weights, these vitamins and proteins can help with muscle growth and overall muscle energy. In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to make a protein shake from a store bought protein powder.
Acquire Protein Powder
Protein powder can usually be found at Costco or local health food stores. The protein powder I will be using for this tutorial is called Agel PRO Nutrition Shake Mix.
Acquire Milk
Milk can also be found at Costco or basic grocery stores. It doesn't seriously matter what kind of milk you use. I'm just gonna use whatever is in my fridge.
Acquire Medium of Mixing
You can mix it in a blender, a blender bottle, a water bottle, or in a cup with an immersion blender. For this tutorial, I will be using a basic water bottle.
Mix in Ingredients According to the Instructions on the Protein Powder Container
The directions will give you the correct ratio of how much milk to use with each scoop of the powder. The bag of protein powder I will be using says "Mix 1 scoop with 8 ounces of water or skim milk."
The container of protein powder you have will usually come with some sort of scoop. If it didn't, you might have to measure out it manually.
Mix (or Blend)
Since I am using a regular water bottle, I have to vigorously shake the bottle until all of the powder has dissolved into the milk. If I don't shake it enough, there will be a layer of dry powder on the top of the milk that doesn't taste very good. I like to avoid this.
After you have sufficiently blended the ingredients, go ahead and drink! If you are using the shake as a supplement to help you with muscle building and working out, you may want to get further instructions on when and how often you take swigs. This can help maximize the potential of the shake.
