How to Make a Pizzagna!
I don't even know why I did this, but I did. Essentially, it is a pizza with a layer of lasagna noodles in it. Future attempts will involve more lasagnesque ingredients (sausage, ricotta for example) but this one was simple.
Get It Together!
This recipe includes the following:
A crust - premade is as good as any. I got mine, along with all the rest, at wal-mart.
Jar of pizza sauce
box of lasagna noodles
Mozzarella cheese
shredded parmesan cheese (not pictured)
olive oil
pepperoni
salami
garlic powder
oregano

Noodles!
Break out two pots, a big one and a little one. Water goes in the big one, pizza sauce goes in the little one. Big one on high, little one on simmer.
Sauce!
Once the sauce warms up a bit, shake in some garlic powder and oregano. Mix it up and turn off the heat. Let this sit until later.
Crust!
Take your crust and brush/spray/whatever on some olive oil.
Noodles II!
Measure up how many noodles you'll need to cover your crust. Put 2 more than you need in the pot of boiling water. Cook the noodles until they're almost done, then strain them out and let them sit. At this point, you may want to start the oven preheating. around 350 should be the magic number. (I cooked mine at 400 and it was too high.)
Sauce II!
Spread a thin layer of sauce directly on the crust. Layer your cooked noodles on top of the crust, trimming to fit as needed. Put down another, thicker layer of sauce on top of the noodles.
Top It!
Lay down a proper layer of mozzarella cheese. Put on your toppings as you like. (My favorite has always been half pepperoni, half salami.) Sprinkle some more mozzarella and parmesan on top of that.
Cook It!
By now, the oven should be preheated. Put the pie in on the rack and set your timer for 10 minutes.
Cut & Eat!
Wait 10 minutes, maybe more if needed. Cut it up and eat it! Make sure to submit a piece for canine quality control, a key step in any kitchen.
