I will show you how to make an anklet bracelet from embroidery thread. They are perfect for the beach, a pool or dancing barefoot on a wedding dance floor.

Here Is What You'll Need to Make the Anklet Bracelet

3 embroidery threads 2 meters each (I used only white for this bracelet, but you can use other colors or mix and match colors)

Scotch tape

Safety pin (Optional)

Tweezers

Rhinestone stickers (I used blue on this bracelet)

Let's Start

  1. Take the three threads and fold them in half.
  2. Now you have 6X1 meter threads.
  3. Attach them at the loop either by another thread or make a knot.
  4. Use a safety pin or scotch tape to attach the loop to the surface you are working on,.
  5. Separate the threads as in the last picture and note the numbers.

Start Threading

How to make Barcelet anklet

Take thread number 1 and put it on top of thread number 2 in the shape of a 4

Then bring thread number 1 loop it under thread number 2

Then pull up

Repeat this process two times 1 and 2, 1 and 3, 1 and 4, 1 and 5 and 1 and 6

At the end, thread number 1 will be in position number 6

Then repeat the process with thread number 2 and the rest of the threads, remember to loop it twice with each.

Keep doing this until you reach the desired length, normally you will have to measure your foot from the second toe to the ankle (mine was 12cm in length)

Important to note: Use scotch tape to tape the bracelet as you thread to prevent it from twisting.

Keep Threading

Now that you reached the desired length from your toe to your
ankle, it is time to split the threads and work on the ankle bracelet.

Start by separating the threads in two groups of 3

Then number them 1,2,3 and 1,2,3 as in the picture

Important: Start threading in the same direction you were working on initially, otherwise it will twist and warp.

So if initially you numbered 1 to 6 from left to right, at the split you have to number them 1 to 3 from left to right.

Again you have to thread twice per thread until you reach the desired length.

At the end make a knot and decorate with the rhinestones

Here Is How It Looks Like
