Hey Guys!
First off, thanks for checking out my instructables.
Today I'm going to make a prop saw!!
So lets get started so you can get your zombie killing groove on!
Materials
1. Lots of Cardboard
2. Spray paint( whatever color you want yours to be. I will be using black and silver)
3. Glue or Hot glue
4. Reference picture
5. Scissors
Blade

So, this is kinda tricky, but I think we can do it. I know you can!
So you need to cut out two cardboard rectangles as long as you want you saw to be. Mine turned out to be
then you need to cut it in a triangle shape on both. Make sure to leave a little space before you start your slope, and draw the teeth. do this on one and cut it out, then trace it on the other piece. I then glued them together with hot glue and stuck a paint stick in the middle for support
the Handle

So this is when you need your reference picture. I photoshopped a saw so it was just a handle, then enlarged it as big as I wanted it. then I printed it out. Trace this twice and cut them out. This is the tricky part, since I'm painting the blade and handle two different colors, I need to keep them separate. I made it so you could slide the blade into the handle. This is why you needed to leave some space between the edge and the blade. I made four layers for the handle, and the middle two had a gap for the blade to fit in. I used a popsicle stick for support, but this is optional.
Making It Look Good
This is pretty much straight forward. I cut a piece of cardboard that was as thick as the blade that was a long strip. I then glued this on it by wrapping it on the edges, and i did the same thing with the handle.
Painting

This is pretty easy. I just painted the handle black and the blade silver. However, I wanted to go for a used, and scratched metal look. So I took a tissue, sprayed some silver spray paint on it, and rubbed it in places that were prone to scratching. It gave it this nice, and rustic look. I also did this for the blade, and except rubbed black paint rather than silver paint.
GO GET SOME ZOMBIES!!!!!
PHEWW!! We did it!! I don't know about you, but I am really happy about this build. GO SHOW THOSE ZOMBIES WHAT YOUR MADE OF!!
